Xiaomi Arena (the former Arēna Rīga) takes the biggest tours; the Latvian National Opera, the Great Guild and the Riga Congress Centre cover opera, orchestral and popular concerts. Hanzas Perons, Palladium Rīga and VEF Culture Palace host festivals, club shows and Latvian pop, and the national football team plays at Skonto Stadium.
Most Riga events sell through bilesuserviss.lv or bilesuparadize.lv; the opera and Latvian National Theatre also sell at their own box offices. Latvian pop stars and international arena dates sell out early, especially in November and December.
The opera, the Great Guild, the Congress Centre and Palladium are all in or beside the Old Town; Xiaomi Arena is in Skanste, about 2 km north of the Old Town. Trams and trolleybuses run until about midnight.
